A CAMPAIGN CENTERED ON FAMILY
This campaign is about more than broad aspirations. It’s about delivering real results for working families across Mecklenburg County. If elected, I’d bring a new perspective to the Board, one of a young father facing the realities of raising children in today’s Mecklenburg County. With waitlists for daycares stretching to two years in some cases, the cost of housing continuing to skyrocket, and the cost of basic health care out of reach for too many of us we need to do what we can at the local level to provide relief.
CHILDCARE

No parent should have to choose between a paycheck and their child’s care.
We need to:
- invest directly in local daycare options to expand capacity
- support early educators
- strengthen county partnerships with private and nonprofit centers.
Mecklenburg should be a place where working families can thrive, not struggle to find a spot on a waitlist.
HOUSING

Everyone deserves a safe, stable, and affordable place to call home.
We need to:
- cut red tape that slows down affordable housing projects
- expand incentives for mixed-income development
- protect long-time residents from being priced out.
We need real results — not years of talk — so Mecklenburg families can put down roots and thrive in the communities they love.
HEALTHCARE

Good health shouldn’t depend on your zip code.
We need to:
- invest in mobile clinics
- prioritize mental health services
- ensure equitable access to maternal care.
- help families navigate bureaucratic requirements so they don’t lose access to Medicaid or other benefits.
Bureaucracy should never stand between people and the care they need.
